SKATECAMP COUNSELOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide instruction to all youth participants assisting them to develop their skateboarding skills
• Co-lead (with head counselor) up to 13 campers each week
• Serve as a role model and guide campers in appropriate behavior, attitudes, and etiquette
• Co-lead activities at Launch and outdoor public skateparks
• Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all participants in our programs
• Be a member of a staff team and take an active role in the evaluation of campers, program schedules, and staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 18 years of age and a sincere passion for working with kids and skateboarding
• First Aid and CPR prior to the start of camp (Launch will provide certification)
• Personal experience in skateboarding, skatepark etiquette and safety

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Staff training: begins in Mid-May
• Camp Dates: June – August
• Work week: Monday-Friday, 30-35 hours/week

COMPENSATION/PERKS
• $11.10/hour

LEAD SKATECAMP COUNSELOR

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Lead counselor is the key point of contact for all parents/guardians & Launch’s Executive Director throughout summer. 
• Drive all participants in Launch van to regional skateparks every day
• Take a leadership role (with secondary counselor) for up to 13 campers each week
• Serve as a role model by guiding campers in appropriate behavior, attitudes, and etiquette
• Co-lead activities at Launch and outdoor public skateparks
• Provide exceptional customer service to parents and all program participants
• Be a member of a staff team by taking an active role in the evaluation of campers, program schedule, and other staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 21 years of age and a sincere passion for working with kids and skateboarding
• Valid Colorado Drivers license with a clean driving record
• First Aid and CPR prior to the start of camp (Launch will provide certification)
• Personal experience in skateboarding and skatepark etiquette and safety

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• Staff training: begins in Mid-May
• Camp Dates: June – August
• Work week: Monday-Friday, 35-40 hours/week

COMPENSATION/PERKS
• $15.00/hour
