Launch is seeking a motivated individual for this seasonal position as a Front Desk Attendant.

Job Description:

Launch Front Desk Attendant is the primary contact for visitors during open skatepark hours and special events. Employee will work assigned hours each week as a point of contact and assist skatepark users and all visitors to Launch. The primary responsibilities include communicating Launch’s mission to all visitors, answering visitor questions, answering phone, handing out all necessary forms, checking in/out rental equipment, assisting with emergencies and acting as a resource to visitors of the skatepark. This is a seasonal position for the summer 2018.

General Responsibilities:

Work assigned hours each week (ranging from six to nine hours each week). Shifts are typically 3-3.5 hours including on weekends.
Assist with opening and closing of Launch Center. Employee must arrive 15 minutes prior to opening.
Act as an information source to all visitors.
Assist all visitors in completing all necessary forms including waivers, volunteer forms, etc.
Maintain a positive attitude toward visitors including parents.
Ensure lobby and skatepark are kept clean and organized including (taking out trash, sweep and mop lobby and skatepark, cleaning bathroom 1x each week)
Maintain accurate records of all sales, donations and payments.
Know, enforce and follow all safety guidelines and park rules.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in customer service and youth engagement
Strong organizational and computer skills
Understanding of skateboarding culture
Enjoys skateboarding
Good communication skills
Must be at least 18 years old to apply

Compensation:

The starting compensation is $10.20 per hour.
